RCT gathering of Western Region

20 sisters from the Western Region (Ratlam, Namli, Mohankot, Anthervelia and Gurgaon) gathered at St. Joseph’s Convent, Ratlam on 26th & 27th October for two days of RCT Meeting.
‘Every transaction lead to transformation’ was the theme highlighted in the beginning of the prayer service started the mood and enthusiasm of the sisters. The two day's sessions were on Inter-cultural living, formative community, electing new RCT members and planning for the 350th death anniversary of Fr. J.P. Medaille.

During the brief explanation of Inter-cultural living Sr. Rashmi (Pachmarhi Province) voiced her opinion saying, “We are called to live in an international community but now the focus is to live inter-cultural”. To experience the spirit of intercultural living, we need to let go and adapt a new civilization. But above all, God wants us to have a human culture that brings forth life and communion. We must walk united with our differences. This is how Jesus lived.
Further, Sr. Sheela Koottala shared on a global view on consecrated life from the International session for formators. She stressed the need for creating formative communities. Formators are called to imitate the way of Jesus. They too are mediators like Jesus; Therefore, every community must be a formative community. Few sharings on ‘Digital Culture’ enlightened the group to understand its importance.

The group together proposed an action plan for the coming year and also elected the New Regional Coordination Team. Sr. Neha Choorathuruthel as the Co-ordinator, Sr. Mamta Fidelis as in charge of Vocation Promotion and Sr. Gloria Clarence in-charge of Communication. The alternates are Srs. Shalini Jesuraj and Maya Victor. Sr. Irene Siqueira, the Councilor in-charge for the region handed over the responsibilities to the new team. Sr. Neha thanked for all their valuable contributions.
