CHOSEN TO LOVE, SENT TO PROCLAIM

June 29, 2020 was an auspicious and memorable day for sisters Pramila and Saumya as they said their ‘YES’ during a Solemn Eucharistic Celebration at Tanmaya, Bhopal.

The ambience of the chapel and the altar really looked festive and grand as it was decked with beautiful decorations. The would-be professed sisters carried the lit candles symbolizing to always burn with love for Jesus were led with an entrance dance towards the altar along with Most Rev. Leo Cornelio, the Archbishop of Bhopal, Fathers, Sr.Prabha, the Provincial Superior of Tanmaya Province and her Councillors.

The theme, “Chosen to Love, and Sent to Proclaim” was indeed apt for the consecrated life and mission.  Archbishop Leo, in his homily expressed, “Prayer is the most important aspect of religious life. Women Religious play a great role in the Church. We as Religious must think globally and act locally. We should never consider problem as problem but take it as a challenge to be faced and not to run away from them.”

The most awaited moment arrived in the life of Pramila and Saumya as they pronounced their first Vows and committed themselves to Lord Jesus. Sr. Prabha, the Provincial Superior received their vows and accepted them into our C.S.J. family and extended her wishes to them. Sisters, Novices, Postulants and Candidates were present to witness this Solemn event of our Congregation.

After witnessing the entire ceremony, an aspiring candidate said, “I am happy to be here, as they received the cross I felt as if they are embracing Jesus forever, so I also want to embrace Jesus.”

The newly professed Sister Pramila said, “Today, I said my ‘YES’ to my master, who chose me for himself.”

During a conversation, Sr. Saumya exclaimed, “I am extremely happy to consecrate myself to my Divine Spouse Jesus and to join the C.S.J. family.”

Sr. Sheela Koottala, the Directress of Young sisters while speaking on Religious life quoted Pope Francis, “You are called to be a visible sign of God’s Love.” Further, she said, “There is a great joy in dedicating oneself to God, one gets enthused on profession day but need to live out the call every day.”
