We in Gurgaon community, celebrated the Laudato Si Week with following themes; Creation, Healing our oceans, Love, Unity, Reconciliation, Justice, Being part of the earth community, The feast of creation and Ocean Sunday.
We began each day of this week with a meaningful prayer service. Evenings we spent time in our terrace garden, planting, weeding, watering and caring. We also spent time in meditations in our school lawn inhaling the oxygen. We read the encyclical Laudato Si, shared and discussed our insights. We grabbed the opportunities of attending 4 webinar sessions on Laudato Si from different countries and the retreat and sessions from Rome online. We participated in a zoom meeting with Mary Ward sisters and Tarumitra, embedding Laudato Si and SDG 2030 into the curriculum by Br.Steve Rocha.
During the online classes we gave awareness to students on caring for the common home. Thought we officially concluded the Laudato Si week, we feel that the need to make Laudato Si a part of our daily life – in a world we have fallen in love with Laudato Si.
