Creation is the project of love, given by God to humanity. - Pope Francis.

Laudato Si week enthused in us love for nature. It paved a different perspective in our thoughts and actions. In a unique way we celebrated this week. We took the help of various materials to make more meaningful. We reflected and examined our conscience to deepen our vocation as protector of God’s handiwork. Together, in our community we studied and reflected the Laudato Si Encyclical. We reflected and shared our insights. Our chapel was decked with various signs and symbols of creation. We praised God for this beautiful world and all that is in it. We focused our reflections on the five elements on which we revolve our daily lives. Symbols for each of these elements were placed before us to thank God and pray for. A sapling was planted and watered in response to caring for the creation.

In different ways each day we meditated or enacted the mysteries of the Holy Rosary. One of the days we reflected on the carbon footprints. After the reflection each sister placed a symbol of footprint and pledged to reduce our level of consumption thus doing our part to reduce the carbon.

We watched the video on ‘Satyameva Jayate’ which gave lessons on managing ‘waste’.  It was worth watching and we got more realization and knowledge on how to reduce and reuse the waste.

We also spent our time in nature mediation. Discussed on concrete actions that could be followed as community and as an individual. We recited rosaries walking within our campus and had dinner outside in the nature. At the end we felt we are energized within and there is a new vigour.
