The days between March 25 and March 29 saw the Sisters at Fetri plunged in grief over the deaths of two very people, very dear to the Community.
On March 27, we received the shocking news of the sudden passing away of Mr.Denis Paul, 22, one of our newly-appointed Staff members. He was very popular with the students and his colleagues, as he mingled freely with one and all, without partiality. Being an only child his death was a tremendous blow to his parents and relatives. He had great dreams and put his best foot forward in the school. He was kind, always available, pleasant to deal with, and ready to try his hand at any new venture. He will be sorely missed.
On Sunday 29th, a dear friend of the community Fr. Brycie Coutinho slipped into eternity having suffered several complications for the past month. Ordained in 1978, Fr. Brycie, 69, of the Archdiocese of Nagpur, was a zealous, ardent, selfless missionary, blooming wherever he was planted and leaving behind a flourishing mission after every move. He initiated the Diocesan Minor Seminary at Kamptee and played a vital role in building up the Church in the Archdiocese. Cheerful and positive at all times, he was very effective in his relationships with Govt officials and won them over with his charming manner of inter-personal relationships.Fr. Brycie, used his gift of singing to attract youth to Christ and to record cassettes, while at the same time being a man of faith and prayer.
These two deaths in quick succession had a gloomy effect on us, already locked in due to the corona virus. As we bid a fond farewell to two very dear people, we ask God to grant them a place in Heaven which they rightly deserve, having lived life to the fullest while on earth.
RIP DEAR DENIS…DEAR FR. BRYCIE
